What does income restriction stand for in California home rentals?

I have been looking through SF Bay Area rental ads and, in some of them (the affordable ones), I have repeatedly found the disclaimer ';income restrictions apply';. I simply don't know what it means. What does income restriction stand for in California home rentals?
What it means is that your total family income CANNOT be over a certain amount ,sounds like a tax credit property!\

if you make alot of money you wont qualify! best thing to do is call to see what their limit is ...

have a good day ,and good luck!!

-LOW INCOME HOUSING-What does income restriction stand for in California home rentals?
My apartments say that, and in my case it is the opposite way, meaning no HUD (low income housing) accepted.
It's probably section 8 housing. The bay area is extremely expensive, the only thing affordable would be ';affordable housing';. www.craigslist.org

Hey, consider being an apt. manager. For part time responsibilities you get free or reduced rent.
