What are some of the best resources on the net for looking up apt. and home rental listings?

1. The local daily newspaper usually will provide this information online for free. Check out the local daily paper for the area in which you would like to move to/live and look under CLASSIFIEDS then REAL ESTATE then RENTALS.

2. This website seems to work for some people: http://www.apartments.com

3. The major real estate companies offer rentals (for a fee and some where the landlord pays the fee). Go to their individual websites for listings for rentals. There should be a link for just rentals.

4. Although most people use the MLS (multiple listing service) for buying a home, the same works for rentals. Google the following: MLS (your state name), so if you live in New Jersey you would enter: MLS NJ

Search for rentals under the MLS for the county then the city in which you want to live.
